8. Camille

My favorite Usher.

Where do I even start with her? She’s the sort of character you love and hate yourself for it. She’s the Usher family’s Public Relations Mastermind. Every family drama needs its diva, and in the Usher mansion, Camille wears that crown with a gorgeous devilish grin. If Tamerlane Usher’s main flaw was being a self-centered, drama queen of a bitch, then Camille is the queen of green-eyed jealousy and winner of the “Best Aesthetic” award, the queen bee of mischief and misdirection.

Camille was perfect when it came to investigating things and keeping the family name sparkling and shining in the news, but not in the best way or with the best intentions. And let’s not even get started on her twisted boss-assistant relations.

To be fair, it could’ve taken an even darker turn. Bless the TV gods for sparing us the very gory details we would have witnessed as Camille gets her face ripped off and mauled to death by an angry Verna-chimpanzee, and letting her wild exit happen behind the curtains. Meeting your end in a bizarre chimp attack isn’t on most people’s bucket list.

Camille didn’t deserve to die, but she definitely needed to learn a lesson.
