7. Prospero (Perry)

Prospero was such a beautiful character to me. Not just physically though the actor who portrays him, Sauriyan Sapkota, is gorgeous, and it significantly impacts his charisma – which only makes him more and more likable in my very humble opinion. Perry, while certainly no angel, had a unique talent for irking everyone around him.

Popping onto the scene as the youngest Usher, Perry decided that fame, wild parties, and a pinch of blackmail were his calling cards. Not to mention his shady dealings with his partners and that sneaky stunt he pulled by inviting Morrie to his exclusive party. Yet, compared to the wild antics of the other Usher children, his misdeeds are actually pretty tame.

But, as messy as Perry’s choices were, they still didn’t quite prepare me for his chilling finale. In such a twisted and dark way that only Flanagan could serve up, Perry’s final curtain call was a splashy, toxic mess from above. I didn’t like that we didn’t get to see much of him in the show as he’s the first Usher child to die. His death is important not just because it’s the first one, but because it literally sets the tone for the show – unhinged and raw unfairness.

Spicy toxic death wasn’t what Perry needed – he needed fatherly love (as did all the kids).
