Having a musical episode has become popular with TV shows. Scrubs, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Lucifer have all done it. That being said, no one had Doom Patrol doing it on their 2023 bingo card.

Episode 9 of Doom Patrol focused on what the team would give up if they didn’t accept Immortus’ reality. For example, Cliff would lose his human body again. For the first time in decades, he could feel things again. It’s not shocking that he was fine with the way things were. Meanwhile, the rest of the team went against Immortus. This leads Immortus to restart reality and leave out heroes with a note that says, “You’re all doomed.”

The next episode of Doom Patrol will likely be where the team defeats Immortus. There are only three episodes left in the series and the Zombie-Butt Apocalypse is still coming. Immortus may be the bigger threat, but fighting zombie-butts is a more appropriate series finale. It’s goofy and the undead booties have been a consistent danger since the series began.

As Doom Patrol is a Max exclusive series, the upcoming tenth episode of the fourth season – along with the remaining final episodes of the show as they come out each week – can only be viewed on the paid subscription service itself (Max).
