There is no Loki season 2 episode 4 post credit scene (and we’re just as disappointed as you)

Loki season 2 episode 4 ended with a shocking cliffhanger that left us speechless, and sadly there is no post-credit scene to help provide any answers.

Wow. Just wow. I don’t know about you, but I’m still reeling from the events of Loki season 2 episode 4, and am struggling to string together the words to properly react to the episode.

We’ve come to expect that the fourth episode of Marvel shows are often among the best episodes of the season, delivering game-changing twists but nothing could prepare us for the craziness that unfolded across the fourth episode of season 2. This is where I warn you, spoilers are coming because, well they are.

Loki episode 4 ending explained

Loki season 2 episode 4 was perfect from start to finish. Amazing pacing, tons of shocking twists, and a cliffhanger that is literally going to leave me on the edge of my seat until next week.

The episode moved the action back to the TVA where one crazy event happened after another. Renslayer and Miss Minutes slaughtered more than a dozen TVA agents in the most brutal way possible. Several characters were pruned in a series of shocking twists. And then came the biggest twist of them all, the shocking final sequence that sent our jaws dropping to the floor.

After Renslayer was stopped and Victor Timely was saved, it was time for Loki and company to set their plan into motion in hopes of fixing the Temporal Loom. Timely decided it was time for him to step up and be a hero, so he decided to be the one to go fix the Loom. He suited up in that over-the-top protective suit and prepared to venture out across the radiation-heavy bridge we saw Mobius venture across earlier this season.

However, in a shocking turn of events, the moment Timely stepped out onto the bridge, he seemed to be ripped apart by the radiation emitting from the Loom. With Timely literally ripped to shreds — or as I like to describe it, Mr. Fantastic’d minus Wanda — the plan failed and the Loom exploded, seeming to wipe everyone at the TVA out in the flash of a light.

There is no post-credit scene in Loki season 2 episode 4

As the episode was intended to end with a shocking cliffhanger, it came with little surprise that the fourth episode of Loki did not include a post-credit scene of any kind. While we would have loved some type of tease of what was to come after the explosive end of the episode, that scene would have essentially taken away from the shock value of the episode’s cliffhanger.

By excluding a post-credit scene, we’re now forced to wait until next Thursday to find out what happens and you can bet we’ll be talking about episode 4 right up until the moment episode 5 releases on Nov. 2!
