Jessica Jones

The main character in Orphan Black is Sarah Manning. If you’ve seen the show, you know their characters are similar in a lot of ways. Both of them are underrated when it comes to their intelligence. Sarah used this to her advantage throughout the series. It’s how she managed to stay alive for five seasons.

Second, Sarah Manning and Jessica Jones are protective of the people they love. And, more than everything else, they’re brilliant at picking up on things other people don’t. They even wear the same kind of clothes and party hard when they’re depressed.

Maybe Maslany would have been a better pick than Krysten Ritter. She should do Jessica’s voice if there’s ever an animated Marvel Comics Alias project.

Sue Storm

The Invisible Woman is a comic book character with multiple layers. She has to be the backbone of a premier superteam. A loving wife who regularly puts her genius husband in his place when he’s overthinking or not thinking at all. The caring sister to an arrogant little brother who regularly does irresponsible things.

A kindhearted woman to an insecure, gentle giant. That’s not including having to be a mother to a superpowered son and a genius daughter. If that’s not enough, she also has to be one of the most intimidating people in Marvel Comics.

In a lot of ways, Orphan Black‘s Alison represented everything that Sue Storm was. Watching her keep her family together is something the Invisible Woman is known for. Throughout Orphan Black, Alison showed that she would do whatever it took to keep her family safe. If that isn’t a Sue Storm trait, this writer doesn’t know what is.
