The Marvels isn’t available to stream anywhere just yet, but we know where it will stream and we have a good idea of when it will stream.
More than four years have passed since Captain Marvel’s first solo venture on the big screen in 2019’s Captain Marvel, but Carol Danvers has finally taken flight again, and this time she’s not alone!
In Marvel Studios’ new film, Carol is thrust into an unexpected partnership with Jersey City Captain Marvel super-an Kamala Khan and Carol’s estranged niece turned S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau when the trio’s powers become entangled. What follows is an unlikely team-up that sees the three heroes working together to save the universe.
The movie is one of the best to hit theaters this November and we highly recommend seeing it! You’ll just need to be prepared to head out to a theater to see the film.
The Marvels likely won’t arrive on Disney+ in 2023
If you want to see The Marvels before the year is over, you’re going to need to head out to theaters as it’s expected Marvel’s latest release will only be in theaters through the remainder of the year. This might be disappointing to you, but it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
Marvel movies tend to remain in theaters for several months after they are released. This is due to the studio’s desire to give the movies as long as possible to make money for the studio. While the exact number of weeks a movie remains in theaters can vary, most Marvel movies tend to remain in theaters for roughly 12 weeks which means we likely are going to see The Marvels stream on Disney+ before the end of 2023.
The Marvels streaming release date is likely to be February 2024
What is most likely to happen is that Disney+ will release The Marvels sometime in February 2024, perhaps during the first week of the month. Most Marvel movies come to Disney+ three months after their original theatrical release. Since The Marvels opened on November 10, that means it is likely it will come to Disney+ around or before February 10, 2024.
Black Panther: Wakana Forever opened during Veteran’s Day weekend in 2022 and did not arrive on Disney+ until February 1, 2023. Should they follow a similar streaming release strategy with The Marvels, there is a good chance the movie could arrive on Disney+ as early as February 2, 2024.
Of course, we’ll have to wait months to know for certain when the movie will begin streaming on Disney+ but if you hope to see Captain Marvel team up with Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau, heading to the movie theater will be your best bet in the meantime!
