3. Episode 1, “Ouroboros”

The second season of Loki is full of exciting twists and turns, especially with its focus on time travel and how the characters’ relationships change. This particular episode, though, is the third best in the season. It’s a thrilling ride that shows us how the Time Variance Authority (TVA) tries to catch Loki and deal with He Who Remains and his variants. But, it gets a bit too complicated when it dives deep into time travel science.

The idea of “time slipping” because too many timelines are happening at once is really cool, and the scenes where they try to catch Loki using a special machine are super intense. But sometimes, the episode gets confusing, especially for people who aren’t that familiar with time travel stuff.

There’s a lot going on in this episode. We see Loki in the past, then meeting up with Mobius M. Mobius in the present, and later moving to the future. This makes the story really interesting but also kind of complex. Maybe it focuses too much on how time travel works instead of the story itself. The episode also feels a bit crowded because there are new characters like Ouroboros, the technician, and different storylines like Sylvie going to a new timeline.

The part where Loki and Mobius get back together is really good and grabs your attention as they look for Sylvie, but it has to share the spotlight with all the other action going on. The episode ends with a cliffhanger that’s exciting – Sylvie goes to another timeline – but this just adds more to the already packed story. Even though this episode is really smart and full of action, it’s a bit too complex and that’s why it’s in the middle of our list.
