Will there be a new episode of Loki tonight on Disney Plus?
In the two seasons of Loki, the Disney Plus show may have proven to be the best thing Marvel Studios has done. Not just with the show. The God of Mischief had the best story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He went from being the selfish, evil Asgardian to the savior of the multiverse. It wasn’t just to save the multiverse. It looked like he did it so his friends (especially Sylvie) could survive. This isn’t something anyone would have predicted when he was first introduced to the MCU all those years ago.
The most recent episode ended on a high note, but with some sadness. The TVA and the timelines survive, and Sylvie, Hunter B-15, and others are now in charge. Their biggest priority is to find the variants of He Who Remains and take them out. Meanwhile, Mobius left the TVA. For now, he doesn’t know what’s next for him. For now, he said he’ll just watch.
As for Loki, he’s sitting on his throne as the God of Stories. He looks over his version of a loom that looks like the Yggdrasill. The Asgardian God always said he was burdened with glorious purpose. He just didn’t realize he’d have to sacrifice himself to achieve it.
Is that it for the former God of Mischief or can we expect another new episode of Loki this week?
Is Loki new tonight, November 16?
Unfortunately, there won’t be a new episode of Loki season 2 this week. The second season is over after last week’s finale, and they could very well have been the series finale as well.
As a result, the God of Stories will remain unseen for a while. Will Tom Hiddleston return? For now, there’s no plan for Loki in the immediate future. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the star said the season 2 finale was “the conclusion to Seasons One and Two, and it’s also the conclusion to six films and 12 episodes and 14 years of my life.” This comment has fans wondering if they’ve seen the last of Loki. At least for the foreseeable future.
There is some good news. Hiddleston said in an interview with ComicBook.com that it would be “unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it.” Thankfully, there are still stories to be told and hopefully other avenues for the God of Stories to venture down.
Fans may not see him in a starring role, but there are other options. He still has unfinished business with Thor. The God of Thunder doesn’t believe he’ll see his brother again. However, a reunion between the pair (and Thor seeing the God of Stories in his new role) would make for an unforgettable moment.
There’s also What if…? Loki sees everything. Why couldn’t he take over for Uatu? Fans love Loki and would take him in any capacity. Even if it’s only a voiceover. For now, all we can do is wait and hope that the God of Stories returns for another tale.
