23. Rene Ramirez – Wild Dog
After Oliver Queen defeated Damien Darhk, a new wave of vigilantes began operating in Star City. Rene Ramirez was the first that Oliver encountered and he quickly tried to discourage him from joining this life. However, Rene is extremely stubborn and continued to put on that hockey shirt and mask in order to fight crime in the Glades as Wild Dog.
Seeing Rene was not going to give up on his efforts, Oliver decided that he should train Rene as one of his new recruits for Team Arrow. At first, Rene was skeptical of Oliver’s methods, but he quickly came to understand what the Green Arrow was teaching him. From then on, Rene became an integral part of the team.
His upbringing in the Glades meant that Rene was used to scrapping with thugs and he used this to his advantage. After training with the Green Arrow, he became a much better fighter and honed his skills even further. Rene even set up a boxing gym for underprivileged children in the Glades after the team briefly disbanded to put his fighting knowledge to good use.
