15. Jack Russell/Werewolf by Night vs Verusa’s army (Werewolf by Night)

The Marvel Studios’ special presentation Werewolf by Night premiered in October of 2022. It was a very special project for the Marvel Cinematic Universe being shot almost entirely in black and white and with the styles of classic horror monster movies. Jack Russell played by the talented Gael Garcia Bernal goes full beast mode when he is forced to turn into his alter ego a bloodthirsty werewolf by the malevolent Verusa played by the incredible Harriett Sansom Harris.

Verusa would have made for a great villain in a bigger part in the MCU but unfortunately, this was her introduction and farewell from the MCU seeing as she faces her ultimate demise in this television film.

Werewolf by Night may be a character that many mainstream audiences don’t know but they will if we get to see Jack Russell back in a later project maybe in a second season of Moon Knight or even make his way over to the big screen someday. For now, we have an amazingly shot short film from Marvel Studios featuring a classic movie monster going full berserker mode against his enemies.

14. Moon Knight vs Midnight Man’s gang (Moon Knight)

Another phenomenal Marvel Cinematic Universe show would be 2022’s Moon Knight starring Oscar Isaac in the titular role. The mini-series offered a refreshing change of tone for Marvel projects. It touched a heavier backstory for our hero and had elements of a psychological drama/thriller.

Marc Spector and Steven Grant are two alter personalities of a man with dissociative identity disorder (DID) played by Oscar Isaac. Not only does Oscar portray this type of character with authenticity but he pulls the viewers in with the emotional rollercoaster that his character is going through and into the thrilling moments of action.

The fight scenes in Moon Knight were shot with sleek camera transitions to showcase Moon Knight changing personalities as he fights his way through his enemies. This scene in particular is a perfect example of how well the miniseries nailed the transitions. The CGI looked great and the use of practical effects also helped pull everything together. Moon Knight is a great character with a lot to offer and if given the chance to join the big screen would be a sight to see what a bigger budget can do with a character like him.
