How to watch WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023
By Mark Lynch
When does WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 start? Who will win the matches and why? Find out right here.
Survivor Series falls under the big four events in the WWE (Summer Slam, the Royal Rumble, and WrestleMania are the other three). It used to be an event full of elimination style tag-team matches. That’s evolved into a battle of the brands. This year, Survivor Series will have two WarGames style matches to settle old and new scores (for the rules of WarGames, click here).
The matches this year are full of incredible WWE performers making this a must see premium live event. We’ve got Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn teaming with Randy Orton to take on the Judgement Day, while Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley will be defending her title against Zoey Stark.
That’s just the beginning of what you can expect. Here’s how and where you can watch the event, what you can expect, and some early predictions.
Be advised, the card could change at any time. Things like injuries, behind-the-scenes issues (real and Kayfabe), and more could affect the number of matches and who appears.

WWE Survivor Series 2023 match card and predictions
Carlito vs. Santos Escobar
Predicted Winner: Santos Escobar
Carlito is a WWE veteran who doesn’t need to win this match. Santos Escobar is just beginning his new personality as a heel. Escobar losing this match would make no sense.
Therefore, we should expect him to dominate Carlito, building into his overall feud with Rey Mysterio.
Intercontinental Championship
Gunther (champion) vs. The Miz
Predicted Winner: Gunther
Gunther is on a historical run as WWE Intercontinental Champion. He currently holds the record for longest reign and there’s no end in sight. As great as The Miz is, he won’t be the one to dethrone Gunther. That honor will go to someone younger who needs the push further down the line.
This title reign will end one day, but today is not that day.
Women’s World Championship
Rhea Ripley (champion) vs. Zoey Stark
Predicted Winner: Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley will win this match. However, Zoey should come out showing the world how talented she is. Hopefully, her match at Survivor Series will elevate her career to a higher level. She deserves it, and even though she will likely be a Women’s World Champion in the future, losing here after a dominant performance would still go a long way in showcasing her talent.
Men’s War Games Match
Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, & Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, & Damian Priest
Predicted Winner: Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, & Randy Orton
The addition of Randy Orton changed the trajectory of this match. Without his involvement, the battle would likely go to the Judgment Day. Is there a chance that The Viper switches sides and turns heel? Absolutely. Orton is someone whose entire personality screams Judgment Day. Nevertheless, he’s coming up on the end of his career and he seems to enjoy being a face. Plus, it’s doubtful he’d get along with Rhea Ripley, Dominik, or Damian Priest.
Women’s War Games Match
Damage CTRL (Bayley, Kairi Sane, Asuka, and WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky) vs. Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch
Predicted winner: Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch
Just like Randy Orton, the addition of Becky Lynch is the reason Damage CTRL will likely lose this match. That being said, there’s more to this match than just the win. Fans are about to witness the unfortunate break-up of Damage CTRL.
Bayley is likely going to be the one who gets defeated and it will be either Becky Lynch or Bianca Belair that gets the victory. When that happens, the other members of Damage CTRL will start to think that she’s the weak link. This will result in a new storyline for Bayley’s career.
