The 10 best characters from The Mummy, ranked
7. Alex O’Connell
Oh, young Alex O’Connell. Such an adorable little boy with his father’s charisma and his mother’s intellect and wit. With his infectious enthusiasm and audacity, he surely stole scenes and lots of moms’ hearts in The Mummy Returns.
From the very start, it’s clear he’s got the adventurous spirit of his parents – messing with the mercenary trio in the temple, talking back to Lock-Nah, pushing Imhotep’s buttons. Whether he’s donning his father’s hat or navigating his way out of tight spots, his presence adds a sprinkle of fun and wholesomeness to the movie. He’s got bravery, wit, and charm to spare.
Yet, while Alex has all the makings of a mini-hero, he finds himself at the 7th spot on our list. Now, this isn’t because he lacks flair – pretty far from it. Being the youngest in the pack, he hasn’t had the same life experiences and challenges that have shaped the other characters yet.
While the adults are tangled with love, betrayal, and all the complexities life throws their way, Alex is still on the starting line of his adventure-filled journey. But who knows? Give him a few years, and he might just end up like Rick and be a damsel in distress for a lovely lady like Evie to save.
