4. Amber and Mark

When Mark left Earth in the source material, it kickstarted the downfall of his relationship with Amber. She knew Mark was a superhero and he’d have to leave for extended periods of time, but it was happening more frequently. During the Prime Video show, Amber was more sympathetic while he was gone.

One of the biggest differences between Amber in the show and the comics is the understanding between her and Mark. However, both of iterations have a low tolerance for Mark’s shenanigans. When the show returns, Mark and Amber’s relationship will start to sour. It’s unlikely that they’ll be together past season 2.

3. Donald is learning the truth

Donald uses Cecil’s password to see the video of his fight with Omni-Man (the season 1 finale). This is where he learns that he died in an explosion. The footage shocks him. Later in the episode, Donald stabs himself in the arm and sees blood. For a second, he’s relieved. Then, he looks down and sees the knife bent after breaking his skin.

The damaged knife was the first definitive clue that something was wrong with him. Videos can be doctored, but his body shouldn’t have been able to bend a metal knife. His confrontation with Cecil should be interesting. Maybe D.A. Sinclair had a hand in bringing Donald back.

While none of this happened in the comics, this could lead to Donald becoming a different character. At the very least seeing how it happened will be worth the change.
