10. Star Trek: Prodigy
Taking the tenth spot on our interstellar leaderboard of Star Trek bridge crews is the crew of Star Trek: Prodigy: Dal R’El, Gwyndala, Rok-Tahk, Murf, Jankom Pog, Zero, and Holo-Janeway.
Now, don’t get me wrong, these youngins are on a mission to captivate a new generation of viewers but, with being the newest addition to the Trek family, they’re still finding charting their ways into our hearts. With that, they land at the bottom of this list, with the potential for moving on up it in the future.
Geared towards a younger audience, Prodigy injects a playful energy into the franchise, but its ranking may indeed still change as it begins to establish itself into the franchise. So, while they may be bringing a youthful zest to the final frontier, they’re currently cruising at warp speed towards the stars of tomorrow.
9. Star Trek: Lower Decks
Ranked at the ninth spot is the crew of Star Trek: Lower Decks, consisting of Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shaxs, Dr. T’Ana, and Lt. Commander Andy Billups.
Lower Decks is an animated series that brings a playful and comedic spin to our beloved Star Trek universe. Led by characters who navigate space with a lighthearted touch, the show inserts humor into the often-serious space exploration shenanigans. While its unique and refreshing approach has its appeal, the animated format and comedic tone might not resonate with all fans seeking the traditional seriousness and feel of a Star Trek series.
Nevertheless, for those who enjoy a good laugh while venturing into the final frontier, the Lower Decks crew adds a delightful, if unconventional, flavor to the expansive legacy of Star Trek. And a large part of that is the eclectic and lovable crew at the forefront of it.
