8. Star Trek: Enterprise

As we head into the live-action outings in the Star Trek universe, that brings us to the eighth spot in our lineup, and that spot belongs to the crew of Star Trek: Enterprise: Captain Jonathan Archer, Commander T’Pol, Commander Charles “Trip” Tucker III, Lieutenant Malcolm Reed, Ensign Travis Mayweather, Ensign Hoshi Sato, and Dr. Phlox.

Enterprise ran for four seasons on UPN between 2001 and 2005 and its notable for how its cancellation kickstarted a 12-year Star Trek hiatus on TV. There was a fan campaign to bring it back and, although unsuccessful, it shows how adored the crew of this show were to audiences.

Traveling back to the early days of space exploration, Captain Jonathan Archer and the team have their fair share of intriguing moments. However, it’s like having a warp drive that occasionally sputters – the show, set before the iconic original series, promises much but sometimes struggles to reach its full potential. While Archer is a capable captain and the crew is a mix of personalities, the series can feel like a starship on impulse power rather than full warp drive.

It’s not a black hole of entertainment, but among the stellar Star Trek crews, Enterprise finds itself coasting at warp factor 8.
