7. Star Trek: Picard

Star Trek: Picard was a bit of a divisive offering among fans of the franchise, which is a bit of a shame considering how anticipated it was (especially because of Patrick Stewart’s long-awaited return to the franchise). Nevertheless, its crew was one of its strongest aspects.

The Star Trek: Picard crew confidently takes the seventh spot on our ranking chart as they bring a unique flavor to the expansive Star Trek universe. Led by the venerable Jean-Luc Picard, this show delves into the later chapters of the iconic captain’s life, offering a character-driven narrative that’s a feast for enthusiasts seeking deeper explorations – and its crew offers plenty of that. Commander Seven of Nine, Lieutenant T’Veen, Lieutenant Matthew Arliss Mura, Ensign Kova Rin Esmar, Ensign Sidney La Forge, and Captain Liam Shaw make up the crew of the USS Titan-A.

While Picard has garnered appreciation for its in-depth character arcs and the return of Picard, one of the most beloved figures in the franchise, some fans might find it strays a bit from the classic Star Trek vibe they know and love. Nevertheless, the show adds a fresh dimension to the franchise, exploring some of the most iconic characters in the Star Trek saga, and proving that even in the coldness of space, change is the only constant.
