Doctor Who special episode 2 release time (by time zone)
Doctor Who is back on TV screens this week with its second special episode of 2023. Here’s when you can watch “Wild Blue Yonder” where you live.
The Doctor is in again! After a year off the air, Doctor Who made its long-awaited comeback to BBC One last week to celebrate the show’s own 60th anniversary. It did that by launching the first of three consecutive specials, led by none other than the Tenth Doctor/Fourteenth Doctor David Tennant and his faithful companion Donna Noble (portrayed by Catherine Tate).
Doctor Who is a staple of the weekend for British fans watching on BBC One. The thing that makes these specials feel even more, well, special is the fact that it has resumed its Saturday evening slot, after the past few series have aired on Sunday evening instead. To say that fans have enjoyed sitting down to watch it prior to Strictly Come Dancing would be an understatement, and the feedback to the first special last week was incredibly positive.
But David Tennant and Catherine Tate’s returns aren’t the only exciting things about the 60th anniversary specials, as Doctor Who has become a global event on its release day too. With the show now streaming internationally on Disney Plus at the exact same time it airs on BBC in the UK, it means that fans all over the world can watch it together at the same time – which is exactly what they did last week. If you’re ready to do it again, here’s when you can expect the second special episode in your region.
