11 things nobody wants to admit about The Flash
The Flash is one of the biggest shows of the past decade and fans have had a lot of opinions about it. What are some of the things we don’t talk about enough?
It still doesn’t feel right that The Flash is no longer an active TV series. The Arrowverse spinoff made its debut on TV screens back in 2014, and since then it has turned both the title character and star Grant Gustin into household names.
The show centred on humble and heroic CCPD forensic chemist Barry Allen (Gustin), who was struck by lightning during a particle accelerator explosion, turning him into the superhero known as The Flash. Over the course of the show, he used his superspeed to solve the murder of his mother, free his innocent father from prison, and protect Central City (and the multiverse) from any and all threats.
The series enjoyed a remarkably successful run, airing nine seasons between 2014 and 2023. Unfortunately, the end of the Arrowverse came when The CW changed hands and new owners Nexstar pivoted the network in a new direction. But the show did get a chance to go out on its own terms, bringing Barry Allen’s story to a satisfying close.
With the end of The Flash, fans are looking back at the show, reflecting on its legacy and discussing all of its classic moments. They are also voicing their own opinions on some of the things that the show should (and shouldn’t) have done over the course of its run. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the opinions that people don’t always admit.
