The WWE landscape is ever-evolving but don’t be expecting to see these faces compete in a WWE ring in the coming year.

Anything can happen in the WWE. It’s a line that legendary commentator Jim Ross said way back in the early 2000s and honestly it’s proven to be correct ever since. Look no further than the recent return of CM Punk at Survivor Series: WarGames.

It was a moment that so many WWE fans had longed for and so few believed would ever happen, as Punk had parted ways with the company back in January 2014. And yet, almost a full decade later – after competing for UFC and AEW – he found his way back to WWE.

From unfortunate releases to in-ring retirements, here are some superstars that won’t return to WWE in an active role in 2024.
