Loki

The first season of Loki has remained one of the most popular of the Marvel Disney Plus shows since its premiere. It’s easy to see why, because Tom Hiddleston’s trickster gets that long overdue spotlight audiences have been waiting for him to get for years. But major as it was, there were some issues with that first season, specifically that it spent a lot of time talking.

Nevertheless, the anticipation was high for season 2, which premiered on Disney Plus in October. I’m happy to report that it lived up to that anticipation and exceeded all expectations in the process.

Loki season 2 is a thrill-ride from start to finish. From the immersive way it reels you back into this world in the opening scene to the absolutely thrilling final two episodes, it doesn’t stop, heightening its own tension with each episode as the God of Mischief and his TVA buddies desperately attempt to save the Temporal Loom by stopping it from exploding. Easier said than done.

And speaking of said, one area where Loki season 2 really shines is in its actions. More happens, and there are less drawn-out conversations about it. The balance is just right, opting for more doing over saying, and it all leads to an intense couple of episodes and a thrilling conclusion.

Loki started on a high, but season 2 took it into the stratosphere.
