8. Batwoman

The Arrowverse’s introduction of the Bat Family legacy was a major turning point for a shared universe that many thought would never be allowed to so much as feature a bat symbol. While Batman himself was mostly off limits, everything that came with him wasn’t, and it all debuted in Batwoman, including the Bat-Signal.

There were actually two Bat-Signals in Batwoman. The first one debuted before the series began, showing up in the Elseworlds crossover (before making a brief appearance on the series when Alice destroyed it). It was superior to the one that was subsequently used on the show; not because it had a more epic and traditional bat symbol, but because the sheer size of it gave it that cinematic larger-than-life feel that the Bat-Signal is known for.

The second one featured a symbol more in-line with Batwoman’s own emblem and that certainly set it apart from the rest, giving its own unique look. That part was epic, but the thing that let it down was that it was a little bit smaller than what we’ve come to expect from the Bat Signal. That’s not bad per se, but just a little bit of a step backwards.

That said, the Batwoman symbol looked amazing when shone into the sky.
