There are a lot of characters Marvel hasn’t brought into the MCU that are absolutely baffling exclusions. We’re going to look at a couple.

2023 hasn’t been the kindest year to Marvel and the studio will look to turn things around in 2024 with the release of Deadpool 3. Outside of the MCU, there will be other Marvel heroes entering the mix next year via the Sony Marvel universe including Madame Web.

We’re only two months away from the release of the upcoming Madame Web movie. There’s been a lot of publicity and a lot of hype for this movie that Sony is banking on the movie.  And with all this excitement, one thing is on a lot of Marvel moviegoer’s minds, and that’s, “I don’t know who that is.”

Well, firstly, it’s “whom” but secondly, for real, I’m a long-time Marvel fan and I thought I knew who the character was until I saw the trailer and then I had to look back into it again only to find out that I really had zero info on this character. This is this odd trend studios have been doing in hitting us with characters that, though often cool, most people have never heard of.

I don’t mind Marvel trying new things but there are characters that people have actually been asking for for years and we’re no closer to getting them than we were. Asking for a Howard the Duck movie even after Howard appeared in a Marvel movie and then getting an Echo show reminds my 43-year-old self of that time I asked for Gauntlet for the NES and got the Tiger Electronic handheld equivalent for Christmas.

Within the MCU in particular, there is a lot of change going on and Marvel could use some hits. To do so, it’s time they start bringing in some key characters from the comics that fans have been hoping to see and we have a list of 10 characters that honestly should have gotten some MCU love by now.
