Years before the Marvel Cinematic Universe expanded into the world of television with a wave of interconnected, MCU-set television series on Disney+, ABC brought a slice of Marvel into the lives of fans via Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

When Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first premiered in 2013, it marked a major milestone in Marvel’s journey as the first official television series to debut from Marvel Television, which shared connections to the MCU movies. The show brought back Clark Gregg’s presumed-dead Agent Phil Coulson and formally built upon the world of S.H.I.E.L.D. by bringing fans a show that focused on the agents of Marvel’s recognizable shadow government agency.

Although the show stumbled a few times during its early seasons in trying to weave together stories that were connected to the ongoing events of the MCU, the show eventually found its footing and became a cult classic in the process. It was one of the rare Marvel shows that got the chance to bring its story to a natural conclusion, but the ending most certainly left fans wanting more.

Well, five years after Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s seven-season run came to an end, the cast of ABC’s hit Marvel show are about to finally come together again… just not in the way fans might have expected.

Marvel will host an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reunion panel at NYCC 2025

For the first time since the show ended in 2020, Marvel is about to bring the cast of the beloved show together for a special reunion panel at New York Comic Con designed to celebrate the lasting legacy of the show!

As announced by ReedPop, the organization behind the annual NYCC event, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, and Chloe Bennet will come together on Oct. 11 for a special cast reunion celebrating Marvel’s iconic series. The panel will see the trio take to the Main Stage at NYCC to reflect on the show’s lasting legacy, share behind-the-scenes stories, and celebrate the fans who championed the show from start to finish!

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reunion panel is sure to be a highlight of this year’s NYCC, as it marks the first time the three stars have come together to celebrate the show at the event. The panel also has fans hoping that perhaps Marvel could have bigger plans up its sleeves.

From the moment Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came to a close with its seventh season, fans have been hoping to see characters from the show make their way into the MCU. While Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is technically set within the MCU and we saw MCU characters such as Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Peggy Carter crossover into the show, none of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s primary cast has appeared in an MCU movie – aside from Gregg’s Agent Coulson.

With the Multiverse coming together in Avengers: Doomsday, fans are eager to see the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. get a seat at the table. Could this reunion panel be part of a master plan in the works from Marvel, with the panel used to reveal an MCU return for the characters? That’s certainly what fans will be eager to see and hoping to manifest!

Regardless of whether Marvel might have bigger plans in place for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we’re excited to see Coulson, May, and Quake back together, even if only for a NYCC panel.

Don't miss the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: A Reunion with Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen & Chloe Bennet panel at NYCC on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11:15 a.m. ET!
