Superhero tales are often the result of a moving, personal storyline mixed with big action set pieces. Fans love to see their favorite heroes persevere through hardships and tragedies... while they also fight relentless villains along the way. Throughout its 17-year history, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has delivered on this promise on multiple occasions. For every time we've seen a deep character arc unfold, such as Wanda Maximoff struggling to accept the death of Vision, we've also witnessed an explosive confrontation of epic proportions, like Ultron lifting an entire city into the sky and crashing it back into Earth.
As the MCU nears the conclusion of its divisive Multiverse Saga, it will look to end things on a high note by doubling down on the high-stakes storytelling and fast-paced action sequences. With that in mind, it isn't surprising to learn that Avengers: Doomsday might have a three-hour runtime, giving it enough breathing room to mix deep character arcs with jaw-dropping superhero confrontations. But just how action-packed will the movie be? Well, a new report might finally give us an answer, and it is everything fans could hope for.
Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly be the most action-packed MCU movie ever made
According to YouTuber John Campea (via Murphy's Multiverse), Avengers: Doomsday won't only surpass any other MCU project in terms of action, but it won't let audiences take a breath as it will be fast-paced from beginning to end:
"The sheer amount and volume of action in this thing is going to blow away everything else Marvel’s ever done. People are going to lose their minds (...) This movie starts with its foot through the floor and shoots you like a cannon out of the gate. There’s no slow start—it’s massive action right from the beginning, the scale is insane, and it doesn’t let up."

John Campea also states that Avengers: Doomsday will feature the very best comic book movie opening of all time, eclipsing any big action moments featured in other superhero movies. While that's an exciting prospect in itself, it also raises the question: How will Marvel decide to kick off the beginning of the end of its Multiverse Saga? Well, it may do so with a big clash between heroes, if a new report is to be believed.
Insider MyTimeToShineHello has revealed that the opening moments of Avengers: Doomsday will feature Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man fighting Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in a sequence that's probably set to showcase the dangers of incursions.
Of course, it's always important to take any rumors with a grain of salt. After all, if Tobey Maguire's world were to collide with another, the logical option would be the MCU as he spent time there during the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. For the time being, there's no apparent explanation behind Logan crossing paths directly with "Peter 2" from the get-go. However, there is evidence to suggest that the two iconic heroes will appear in the upcoming crossover.

Leaked Avengers: Doomsday set photos (presumed to be real) showcase Tobey Maguire back in the iconic red and blue Spider-Man suit. Furthermore, multiple scoopers have claimed that he will be the only Spider-Man variant in the movie, as neither Tom Holland nor Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers are set to have a role in it. Furthermore, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars would be the very last chances for Tobey's character to join forces with Earth's Mightiest Heroes before his arc is over, and Marvel will certainly capitalize on that opportunity.
As for Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman has hinted that he'll play the role of the iconic hero yet again in the MCU. Besides, it has been reported that Marvel intends for Jackman to play the role of Old Man Logan after the events of Secret Wars, while a new actor takes on a younger version of the character. With that in mind, it would be strange for Logan to be missing in the upcoming crossovers (especially since the rest of the X-Men are confirmed to make an appearance).
There's no denying that Avengers: Doomsday will attempt to surpass every other MCU project made to date in the action department. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo are known for creating some of the best fight scenes in the MCU as a whole, so fans can't wait to see what they are able to accomplish with the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts*, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes at the same time.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released on Dec.18, 2026.
