The Martian is coming to Netflix in October 2025
According to What's on Netflix, The Martian is scheduled to land on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025. That said, sci-fi fans will be starting the new month with something already to watch. That's good to know!
Unfortunately, we don't know the exact time the movie will be released on the platform. However, there's a good chance it could make its way to the streamer at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. That's when Netflix usually adds new content to its library. But again, a release time is not known at the moment. Ridley Scott directed The Martian from a screenplay written by Drew Goddard. In addition, the movie is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Andy Weir. Matt Damon stars in the leading role of Mark. Also in the cast are other talented actors such as Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Peña, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Aksel Hennie, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
