San Diego Comic-Con 2026 may have come and gone in a heartbeat, but the era of breaking announcements is just getting started. Disney has many franchises and production companies under its belt, including Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic. Now, all of them are set to assemble under the same roof courtesy of D23—an ultimate Disney fan event set to house no shortage of surprises.
D23 will feature news about upcoming additions to the Disney parks, meet-and-greets, cosplay meetups, and more. However, all eyes are fixed on what's shaping up to be the main course of the event: the Disney Entertainment Showcase.
As revealed by Disney, this panel will feature "exclusive first looks at upcoming films and series," along with "exciting new announcements." It is the perfect opportunity to give fans a glimpse of the many exciting projects on the horizon, such as Avengers: Doomsday and Star Wars: Starfighter. Fortunately, we don't have to wait long to discover what the House of Mouse has in store for fans.
The Disney Entertainment Showcase will take place at 7:00 pm PT on Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, and it's scheduled to run for two hours, concluding around 9:00 p.m. PT. With that in mind, here's when the event will start in different time zones, including in areas such as the UK, India, Australia, and more:

What to expect from the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23
D23 is bound to be home to many Marvel surprises. Multiple insiders have reported that tickets for Avengers: Doomsday will go on sale on Friday, and, to celebrate the occasion, Marvel will release a new trailer for its upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film at D23. Granted, it's very likely that the footage will be similar to (if not the same as) the one showcased behind closed doors at SDCC. On the bright side, there's also a strong possibility Marvel will publicly release the trailer for the whole world to see.
VisionQuest should also get its first look at D23, especially considering that the anticipated Disney+ show is set to be released in two months, on October 14, 2026. Furthermore, Disney could also take this opportunity to release a trailer for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 and officially announce that the Defenders will be back together on the small screen (even though set photos have already spoiled the surprise). Additionally, it has been heavily theorized that the X-Men cast announcement will also come our way during the event.
When it comes to Star Wars, there are two projects likely to have a major presence at D23: Star Wars Starfighter, starring Ryan Gosling, and Ahsoka season 2. A trailer has yet to be released for either of these projects set in a galaxy far, far away, but this is likely to change during the Disney Entertainment Showcase.
The Incredibles 3 and Frozen 3 are still a long way off, but they are also two of the biggest projects on the Disney Animation and Pixar slates. As such, it isn't far-fetched to assume that the House of Mouse will reveal more about what to expect from these two movies, even if no trailers come our way during the event.
There are plenty of Disney+ shows on the horizon, but one that's likely to steal the spotlight during D23 is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, whose third season is coming out on Nov. 20, 2026. Furthermore, we could get news about Descendants: Hidden Heroes, an upcoming spin-off set in the Descendants universe and set to start production this week.
There could also be complete surprise announcements set to take the world by storm. Fortunately, the wait for D23 is nearly over.
