People have been waiting for the return of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle (the Punisher) for years and his appearance in Daredevil: Born Again's fourth episode didn’t disappoint. The character didn’t kill anyone and there wasn’t a lot of violence, but Bernthal’s acting was superb. Plus, Frank became the key factor in Matt Murdock possibly going back to his life as Daredevil.

The Punisher forced Matt to confront his feelings about Foggy Nelson's death. Karen Page and others certainly tried their best to do it too, but they don’t have Frank’s touch. By touch, this writer means the Punisher kept antagonizing Matt until he punched him in the face. This leads to Matt understanding the emotions he was avoiding and picking up his weapons for the first time in over a year.

If there was any doubt that Wilson Fisk would remain evil, it was cleared in episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again. He may not deal with crime directly or be the Kingpin in name, but he’s still a monster. If there’s still any doubt, look at what he did at the end of episode 4.

While Fisk was away, Vanessa started a relationship with a guy named Adam. Fisk couldn’t let this “violation” slide. Viewers see Adam trapped in a cell. If that isn’t petty enough, Wilson is peacefully eating dinner outside the cell and talking about forgiveness. Meanwhile, Adam is screaming and pleading to be set free.

What to expect in Daredevil: Born Again episodes 5 and 6

As we saw in the closing moments of the previous episode, a mysterious person is walking around with a white mask with red streaks down the eyes and he is kidnapping, killing, and possibly torturing. If this is who we think it is, their name is Muse and they’re sick. We’ve seen glimpses of what they’re up to, but it will get worse.

Writer's note: Muse made his first appearance in Daredevil No. 11 written by Charles Soule with art by Ron Garney.

In terms of Daredevil: Born Again, Muse should be the first person Daredevil fights in his return as Hell’s Kitchen’s protector. Don’t be shocked if he loses their first fight. It’s common in superhero battles. Fans have been craving action, well, you're about to get it.

When episode 5 debuts, we’ll officially be past the halfway mark of the season. That means viewers should prepare for the downfall of Mayor Fisk to begin. And while things have been going smoothly for him, they can’t stay that way. The first crack in his armor should start to appear soon. It won't be surprising if it's due to his anger issues or pettiness.
