The season 2 premiere of Daredevil: Born Again was extremely hard-hitting and very well-paced. The latter is the most important aspect because some viewers had previously said that the Disney Plus show's first season started fast and then slowed down. Apparently, the creative team took note and made sure that wasn’t the case this time around. The whole first episode was quick-moving.

We started with a brief look at what New York City looks like now. It's bright, colorful, and people are happy - or at least that's what Mayor Wilson Fisk's propaganda would want us to believe. Then, things get dark as Daredevil beats up some crooks, and the show uses the Anti-Vigilante Task Force as a clear social commentary of real-world events. From what viewers saw, this will become a major focal point as innocent people are beaten, held without rights, and, in some cases, killed.

The episode closed on a shocking note, as Daredevil heard Cherry’s heartbeat beat irregularly, getting flashbacks to Foggy Nelson’s death. This almost got him killed. Luckily, he was saved by a mysterious sniper, who killed members of Mayor Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force after they unmasked Daredevil. This was revealed to be none other than Bullseye.

What to expect in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episodes 2 and 3

As the season premiere of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ended on a shocking note, you can bet that these two episodes will be all about fallout. At the center of that fallout will probably be Bullseye himself.

This writer fully expects a backstory on what Benjamin Poindexter has been doing since the end of season 1. There’s no way he was just sitting on his hands while his enemy - Wilson Fisk - gained more and more power. He must have been gathering information on New York’s Mayor and his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. It’s probably why he knew they were at Cherry’s apartment.

Second, look for something major to happen at the end of episode 2. There’s probably a reason why this week in particular has a two-episode release instead of the season premiere. That means there was a crucial moment that the creators thought viewers shouldn’t have to wait a week to see. Maybe this is when Jessica Jones officially makes her MCU debut. Or maybe Daredevil and the Kingpin will come face to face.

We know that this season of Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be big one for Marvel Television. These next two episodes will just be even more evidence of that.
