Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 3 guest cast includes Lili Taylor, Tony Dalton and more

The second and third episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 feature some familiar faces. From Lili Taylor to Camila Rodriguez, here's why you might recognize them.

The Devil of Hell's Kitchen is back on TV screens as Daredevil: Born Again season 2 has officially premiered. The Disney Plus show was easily one of the most anticipated returning series of the year and, so far, the new episodes have been worth the hype. Heck, the season premiere alone was worth the hype, as the Marvel Television series delivered one of its finest episodes yet - proving that it had finally found its footing.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has fully invested in the dark corner of the hard-hitting street-level heroes, resurrecting characters like Daredevil himself, his archenemy the Kingpin, Jessica Jones, and so many other beloved aspects of the Netflix shows that thrilled us all throughout the 2010s. And the most recent episodes of Born Again are just the most recent examples of that.

Something else we love to see from Marvel Studios is its incredible talent of guest stars, and this week's episodes of Daredevil: Born Again featured some excellent additions.

Lili Taylor officially joins the cast of Daredevil: Born Again as the Governor of New York, Marge McCaffrey. She's a tough no-nonsense official who eventually discovers that Fisk has been using the Red Hook port without the proper authorization (thanks to Karen Page ensuring that the documentation required for her visit found its way into her hands). This gives Fisk and his administration a determination to find something on her that they can use to get her to back off.

Taylor is a legend of the big and small screens, with a four-decade-long career to her name. Renowned for a healthy mix of mainstream hits and independent movies, she has appeared in the likes of Mystic Pizza, Say Anything..., Dogfight, High Fidelity, The Conjuring, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trails, and Public Enemies (just to name a few)! She has also recently appeared on TV in major roles in American Crime, Almost Human, and Outer Range. We are excited for her to add both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Daredevil: Born Again to her extensive resume.

Another major addition to the third episode - perhaps the biggest addition, actually - is none other than Tony Dalton. Although he is billed as a series regular for the episodes he appears in due to his overarching presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Dalton has been guest-starring in a number of episodes throughout the Disney Plus show's run. The third installment, "The Scales and the Sword", is his most recent appearance.

Dalton previously made his presence felt on the MCU when he debuted as Jack Duquesne in Hawkeye. The almost-stepfather of Kate Bishop, Jack was initially portrayed as a potentially-villainous presence, but it was soon revealed that the real evil mastermind was actually Kate's mother, Eleanor, who had been working for Fisk for years. Jack then helped Kate and Hawkeye himself, Clint Barton, in taking down the Tracksuit Mafia by utilizing his skills as a swordsman. This is when the Swordsman persona was born.

Needless to say, Fisk doesn't like heroics, so when the opportunity presented itself to throw Jack behind bars, he took it. Thank goodness that Kirsten McDuffie - and ultimately Daredevil - is on his side, fighting to get him out.

Speaking of people fighting to free Fisk's prisoners, both episodes 2 and 3 of Daredevil: Born Again feature Camila Rodriguez, who reprises her role from the first season as Angela del Toro. The niece of Hector Ayala, a.k.a. the White Tiger, Angela is fighting alongside Daredevil, Karen, and the rest of the resistance to get justice for Hector and free the city from Fisk's grasp. She's expected to officially take up the White Tiger mantle at some point throughout the second season.

While you probably recognize her most from the first season of the show, Rodriguez has also appeared in episodes of Station 19, Wizards of Waverley Place, and Extended Family.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is now streaming on Disney Plus.
