The resistance against Wilson Fisk is getting stronger, just like the pace of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. The first three episodes have come and gone, and audiences now find themselves in the middle of an intricate chess match between New York's devilish protector and the devil himself, turned into the city's mayor. Fortunately, things show no signs of slowing down, which means Episode 4 might be the best one yet.

While we have to wait a week to see more of the Man Without Fear, trailers and set videos paint a clear picture of what's to come. Besides, a few scenes in Episodes 2 and 3 plant the seeds for some very unexpected storylines to unfold in the future. So, without further ado, here's what to expect from the upcoming episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and beyond.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 4 might shine the spotlight on Wilson Fisk's charity fight

The first three episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 have been subtly building up toward a big fight between New York City's mayor and Matterhorn. We saw many posters promoting the upcoming battle and even caught a glimpse of Wilson violently practicing his boxing moves in preparation for what's to come. At first glance, this confrontation can be simply written off as a charity event. However, set videos indicate otherwise.

We need to ask ourselves: Why would Fisk organize such a fight in the first place? Granted, it can be interpreted as a metaphor for how New York's Mayor is singlehandedly able to defeat vigilantes. However, it can also be seen as a provocation. See, Bullseye has been taking out many members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, and now Fisk wants his head. The only problem? Nobody truly knows where Benjamin Poindexter is. Furthermore, this big, public event is presumed to take place in Fogwell's Gym, which is sure to get Matt Murdock's attention.

With a single move, Kingpin will trick his two biggest enemies into coming out of hiding and reuniting in the same place.

Set videos showcase that a big fight between Daredevil and Bullseye will break out during the charity fight, with members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force chasing them both. The best part? This altercation could paint Fisk as merely a victim of the vigilantes who are "tormenting" his city. It's a very smart move, and one that could very well take place in episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

Furthermore, the series has been toying with the idea of Heather slowly turning into what she dreads the most. In comic book pages, Morgan Whittier takes the mantle of Muse after the original version of the supervillain dies. While Heather and Morgan are two different characters, it seems they could have more in common than meets the eye. With that in mind, the fourth episode could show more of Heather's descent into madness, before she eventually turns into a full-blown supervillain.

Another interesting tidbit to highlight from the third episode is the fact that Vanessa Fisk now wants a simpler life away from the criminal activities surrounding her and Wilson. This could be foreshadowing her death, just as it happened in the source material. We know that Season 2 is the end of the mayor Fisk storyline, so it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume that Wilson will stop caring for his public image after the death of his wife, and will instead act as a full villain moving forward. As such, we'll have to keep our eyes peeled for any hint about Vanessa's death.

Last, but certainly not least, we could finally see Jessica Jones' introduction, especially now that we're heading towards the end of the first half of the season. Granted, her MCU debut could likely be the cliffhanger of Episode 4, but it would definitely be a good way to wrap things up. Fortunately, we're just one week away from joining the Man Without Fear once more.
