It looks like season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will bring in some brand new villains, who may include some comic book favorites!
Daredevil: Born Again is halfway through its second season and has done a fine job with its variety of villains to face Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). Obviously, the character’s long-time nemesis Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio), has been a key foe from the beginning, and it’s become more dangerous with Fisk now mayor of New York City.Â
There was also Elodie Yung as Matt’s lover turned enemy Elektra; the ninja group of the Hand; serial killer Muse; and FBI agent Ben Poindexter (Wilson Bethel) becoming the deadly Bullseye. Speaking to The Direct, showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed that season 3 will see even more enemies for DD to face.Â
“Yeah, I mean, the idea of heroes and villains in our story… Somebody that you may see can evolve into something unexpected… The idea of introducing characters that we know, Bullseye being one of them, and playing around with, ‘Should we be rooting for this guy? Wait a second, we can't do that. He killed Foggy.’ So yeah, I mean, everything's on the table. I think that fan expectations get… I love reading theories. They tend to far outstrip our abilities. But yeah, we've got a few more people heading your way."
It does sound like the Hand will play a role in season 3, as could Lady Muse with fan theories that it’s superhero fangirl Heather Glenn under the mask. However, fans are more than eager to see some other classic Daredevil baddies come to life on screen!

What villains could be used in Daredevil: Born Again season 2?
While Daredevil doesn’t have as huge a rogue’s gallery as Spider-Man, he does have a few recurring enemies who could pop into the show. A good choice is already in the MCU: Typhoid Mary, the psychotic mutant killer who was played by Alice Eve in Iron Fist. In the comics, she and Matt Murdock have a long history as both lovers and enemies, and Eve returning to the role would be terrific.Â
Other possibilities include the Owl, a savage crime boss with claws and flight abilities; Mr. Fear, an emotion-controlling masked man playing mind games on the public; the Jester, a failed actor whose crimes are more about getting attention than becoming rich; the super-strong Mr. Hyde (who appeared on Agents of SHIELD) and his sometime partner Cobra; and, for more offbeat, Stilt-Man. The latter could make for a funny one-scene appearance with Daredevil easily taking down the armored man on giant metal legs.Â
There’s also an opportunity to create brand new villains for Daredevil to face off with, like Muse. The character is far more grounded than other Marvel heroes, so his foes wouldn’t have to be too outrageous. Given how well the series has cast these roles, even seemingly joke villains like Jester or Owl could come off as true threats to challenge Daredevil.Â
We have to wait a while to see it, but the idea of fresher foes taking on the Man Without Fear makes the wait for Born Again season 3 bigger!
