Throughout five seasons of two different Daredevil shows, we've seen the Man Without Fear face his own personal devil in the form of the Kingpin of Crime. Their battle has consistently been at the center of the spotlight, claiming many lives and consuming anyone remotely near them. However, that's not to say other people haven't taken advantage of the chaos to cause even more trouble.
The Hand nearly destroyed New York City as a whole in their search for immortality. Additionally, Bullseye's twisted psyche has led him to take many lives, and Muse used the blood of his victims to create perfect works of art in Daredevil: Born Again season 1. But out of these three, only two are "alive." Benjamin Poindexter is still on the loose, while the ancient ninja organization will make a return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Muse, on the other hand, was permanently taken out of the picture... or so we initially thought.
Bruce Wayne said it best during the events of Batman Begins: "As a man, I'm flesh and blood. I can be ignored. I can be destroyed. But as a symbol... as a symbol I can be incorruptible; I can be everlasting." Well, Muse has just reached that very same status as well.

Muse will return in Daredevil: Born Again season 3
Bastian Cooper made his live-action debut in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. He was one of Heather Glenn's patients, and during his free time, he also liked to paint murals using real blood. Bastian's terrifying reign came to an end when Heather shot him multiple times in the chest. However, Muse's legacy will live on courtesy of his very own killer.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3 set pictures showcase Margarita Levieva's Heather Glenn dressed in a Muse costume—a twist that isn't really unexpected considering the events of season 2. Heather was constantly haunted by the ghost of her first victim. Furthermore, her job as the Mayor's Commissioner of Mental Health has forced her to falsify psychiatric evaluations to paint the Kingpin's enemies as psychopaths. But the straw that broke the camel's back was the death of her one and only "friend," Vanessa Fisk.
Initially, the ghost of Muse represented Heather's regret for her own actions. However, as Daredevil: Born Again season 2 went by, it started to represent her own twisted psyche. When the Commissioner of Mental Health repeatedly hit Karen Page, it was clear that Muse was back.
In the comic book world, the original version of Muse died after walking into a fire. However, that wasn't the last we'd see of the villain. An artist called Morgan Whittier took over the mantle after a piece of her soul died, went to hell, and met the condemned soul of Muse. From that point onward, Muse's ghost hunted and manipulated Morgan, shaping her into something terrifying.
We've seen a similar scenario play out on the small screen, where Muse's ghost has been pushing Heather to the point of no return. It will be interesting to see how Matt deals with the situation, as he'll undeniably feel responsible for the fate of his former love interest. Furthermore, this will be the perfect opportunity for another Daredevil villain to take the spotlight on the small screen, aside from Fisk. After all, fans weren't exactly thrilled with Muse's participation in the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, given that the villain had a minor role and was killed way too early. Now is the perfect time to rectify that mistake.
On the bright side, it won't be long before we discover what Marvel has in store for Matt Murdock and Heather Glenn, as Daredevil: Born Again season 3 is currently being filmed and will come our way in 2027.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
