When Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock first made his debut in the Daredevil Netflix series, he was relegated to a small, isolated corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For years, street-level heroes such as the Man Without Fear, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist were unable to join the big screen and cross paths with Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Fortunately, this changed when the characters' rights reverted from Netflix back to Disney.
Spider-Man: No Way Home featured a surprise appearance by the devil of Hell's Kitchen, who would then go on to appear in other Disney+ shows such as Echo and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Additionally, Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle and the Hand recently made their cinematic debut during the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. To top things off, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a Kingpin poster hidden in the wall-crawler's latest adventure.
The Netflix Marvel characters have slowly but surely started to appear in more and more projects over the years. That's why it comes as no surprise that the superhero giant is toying with the idea of including a Daredevil villain in the new Thunderbolts roster.

Bullseye will reportedly join a new iteration of the Thunderbolts
According to industry insider Alex Perez (via The Cosmic Circus), Marvel is toying with the idea of creating a new version of the Thunderbolts, and the team's possible lineup includes a new Taskmaster, Abomination, Melissa Gold, and Bullseye. However, the report states that this is just a plan for the time being, so why does Benjamin Poindexter stand out?
During the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, audiences are introduced to a completely original Marvel TV character: Mr. Charles, who is played by Matthew Lillard. In the first episode of the season, it is revealed that this shady enforcer works for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, the director of the CIA. If that name rings any bells, it is because Valentina was the one who brought the first iteration of the Thunderbolts together, before they escaped her grasp and became the New Avengers instead.
Valentina has a tendency to recruit criminals or people who find themselves between a rock and a hard place to do her bidding, so it isn't far-fetched to assume that she'll keep employing a similar strategy moving forward. But while the CIA director couldn't keep the New Avengers on her payroll, they taught her that it is more efficient to recruit a group of superpowered people rather than to send several operatives on separate missions. So why not create yet another version of the Thunderbolts team?
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ended with the reveal that Bullseye has found a new "North Star" in the form of Mr. Charles. Furthermore, photos taken on the set of season 3 revealed that Benjamin Poindexter will be gifted a new suit by his new contractors, and if you look closely at the helmet, you'll notice it has an integrated camera.

Interestingly, Taskmaster also had an integrated camera on its helmet, and while it was likely used as a means for the villain to record her opponent's every move and replicate them, Valentina could have also added it as a measure to keep track of what her soldiers were up to. So, perhaps there will be a similar scenario in store for Bullseye, now that he does the CIA's dirty work.
During an interview with Inverse, Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel revealed that he would jump at the chance to join a new version of the Thunderbolts:
"I will tell you that I would love to do something like that, so keep your fingers crossed. I'll keep mine crossed. Let's see what happens."
The pieces are all set not only for a new iteration of the Thunderbolts to join the MCU, but also for Bullseye to be part of it. Fortunately, chances are that we'll learn more about this possible storyline during the events of Daredevil: Born Again season 3 next year.
Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will be released in 2027.
