These are the funniest, coolest, and sweetest moments from Absolute Batman in 2026. Yes, there were some tender moments in this series.

When people think about Absolute Batman, they think of Bruce Wayne and Bane’s giant statures or Joker looking like something that came from the darkest pits of Hell. However, there have been a lot of cool and funny moments throughout the series. Here are the best of 2025 (not ranked).

PUNT!

Comic book: Absolute Batman No. 6

You have to start off any funny moment of 2025 with Batman punting a child. Should you kick kids? No. But Bruce was justified in punting Black Mask’s kid. He was a little demon who was swinging a knife. Plus, Batman did throw in a life preserver after.

Bruce and Selina reunite

Comic book: Absolute Batman No. 13

What many thought would turn into a fight (especially after Batman told her to leave when she showed up) ended in sex and a tender moment with them hugging, and eventually taking down Bane. It was something I was waiting for, and it didn't disappoint. It was a sweet encounter in a series that doesn't have many.

It should be noted that an Absolute Catwoman miniseries is being written by the great Che Grayson, and it debuts in 2226. They will certainly make Selina a character fans crave. Personally, I can’t wait.

Saved by Killer Croc

Comic book: Absolute Batman No. 10

Despite Waylon Jones being turned into a giant crocodile, he saved Bruce from being killed by Bane. Seeing Batman jump on top of him like he was riding a dragon in Game of Thrones was funny and cool at once. It was even better when Waylon saved him again in his big fight with Bane (Absolute Batman No. 14).

Meeting Harley Quinn

Comic book: Absolute Batman No. 13

After seeing Joker, many people wondered what Harley Quinn would look like. Will she be crazier than normal or serious like Dr. Harleen Quinzel in Batman: Caped Crusader? It ended up being neither, and that’s a good thing.

When it comes to characters in DC Comics' Absolute Universe, people expect the most extreme thing that comes to mind. And while this was a very different version of the Harley, it was more restrained. Nevertheless, having her be a rebel in this universe fits. Also, I still believe there’s more to Harley than we know (more on that in an upcoming article).

The Batmobile revealed

Comic book: Absolute Batman Nos. 2 and 3

On the flip side of Harley not being a monster or a maniac, there’s the Absolute Batmobile. It isn’t a car like we’re used to seeing. It’s a construction vehicle that’s taller than some houses. And even though it’s humongous, it’s faster than cop cars.

Beating up racists

Comic book: Absolute Batman 2025 Annual

Bruce makes a trip for ammunition and more to continue his journey to protect Gotham City. After attempting to protect a Spanish-speaking person, he gets into a fight with a group of racists. The abuse he delivered was diabolical and deserved. Among the attacks the Dark Knight delivered was a surprise move perfectly drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson.

One Winged Angel

Comic book: Absolute Batman 2025 Annual

Daniel Warren Johnson is a wrestling fan who tends to have some of their moves drawn into his stories (read his run of Transformers for examples). In Absolute Batman 2025 Annual, he uses AEW star Kenny Omega’s finisher, the One-Winged Angel. If anyone was going to use that move, it’s Absolute Batman.

Meeting Wonder Woman

Comic book: Absolute Wonder Woman No. 15

Batman and Wonder Woman met unlike how normal heroes do. Instead of it starting with a fight due to a misunderstanding, it was peaceful and refreshing. However, not shocking because Kelly Thompson is an elite writer who always surprises her readers in ways they never knew they needed. Readers will go back to Absolute Wonder Woman No. 15 often when the Trinity of this universe finally gets together. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to see when that happens.
