Marvel fans have been counting down the days to Avengers: Doomsday, but a very important stop on the road to that Marvel Cinematic Universe phenomenon is the previous MCU phenomenon. Yes, Avengers Endgame: Encore brings one of the biggest movies of all time back to theaters to set the stage for the next cinematic installment in the franchise. The Infinity Saga's juggernaut is setting up the Multiverse Saga's juggernaut - and boy does it do it!
Before going into the film, Marvel fans already knew that it would be hiding some surprises in the post-credits scenes. After all, scenes within the end credits is a Marvel Studios special as the MCU franchise popularized them. So what better film than one of the rare ones not to feature a post-credits scene to add some - some that directly tie into Avengers: Doomsday. And with that, here's what you need to wait around after the credits for.

Avengers Endgame: Encore's thrilling new ending, post-credits scenes, and teasers
If you are sitting in theaters to watch Avengers Endgame: Encore and would like to know what to wait behind for after the credits, you should know that the film features a total of four bonus scenes to look out for. One isn't a post-credits scene as it takes place before the movie's credits scroll, while two new scenes are nestled between the credits.
The first of those after credits scenes takes place directly after the iconic "Main on End" end credits sequence that pays tribute to the film's star-studded cast. The second takes place directly in between the typical black end credit sequence. And the final is a surprise right at the end of the movie.
It's a nod to something that was already there before, so wait until after the Marvel Studios logo appears. It's not exactly a scene, but more of a tease of things to come. And it just might be the most awe-inspiring moment of the re-release (which honestly has a lot of awe-inspiring moments already).
As far as new footage goes, that is it. However, there is a surprise at the start of the film too, as a recorded message from stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. plays, thanking fans for revisiting Avengers: Endgame with them and teasing how the new version sets the table for Avengers: Doomsday. Evans portrays Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, and Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. While Evans reprises that role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, RDJ will be portraying the new role of the villainous Doctor Doom - a character whose presence is certainly felt in Avengers Endgame: Encore.
The buzz surrounding Avengers Endgame: Encore is well ahead of what you would expect for a typical movie's re-release and that is just an indicator how Marvel Studios still has it after all these years. And it's also a sign of how highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday is.
Needless to say, Encore in the mouth of Avengers: Doomsday's release was a wise idea all around. And afer you see these scenes, you will feel the same way.
