The Punisher: One Last Kill has finally arrived on Disney+ and if you’re anything like me, you’re wondering if there is anything worth sticking around for once the special comes to an end.
Don’t worry; there are no spoilers ahead as we won’t get into a breakdown of the plot for the special or ruin its ending. I’m here simply to provide you with the answer to your burning question about whether The Punisher: One Last Kill special concludes with additional content to enjoy. (Though you can read our full recap of the special here if you're looking for spoilers!)
Allow me to confirm for you that there is surprisingly no post or end-credits scene in The Punisher: One Last Kill. Once the special comes to an end, the credits roll, and there is no bonus footage of any kind for fans to enjoy, which is honestly quite surprising and very disappointing.
When the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale rolled around and failed to feature a post-credits scene or an end-credits scene, we speculated that it was because The Punisher: One Last Kill was set to release just one week after the finale's debut. Given the close release of the two titles, we anticipated that Marvel opted not to tease its next project since the next release (The Punisher: One Last Kill) would arrive in a week's time.
What we did expect was that The Punisher: One Last Kill would include a post-credits or end-credits scene that then potentially set up a thread for Daredevil: Born Again or potentially helped to set up Frank Castle's return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Instead, Marvel opted not to include any form of bonus footage after the special came to a close, not even a fun, self-contained bonus scene that continued the story of the special.
While The Punisher: One Last Kill was designed to tell a self-contained story, which it did, we still hoped that there might be a bonus scene, as Marvel has included them in some of its past one-shot specials. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special included a fun end-credits scene that gave fans a fun little bonus scene after sticking around through the credits, while Werewolf by Night at least gave fans a fun credits sequence with classic horror movie-inspired title cards.

Sony could be to blame for the lack of a post-credits scene in The Punisher: One Last Kill
While Marvel is not likely to explain why they opted not to include a post or end-credits scene at the end of The Punisher: One Last Kill, there is a good chance that Sony could be to blame.
The Punisher will next appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day in a crossover that will mark his first appearance in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. While the film is set in the MCU and Marvel Studios produces the film, it hails from Sony, which is where the complications likely came into play.
Sony and Marvel have arranged for characters such as Peter Parker/Spider-Man to appear in the Marvel movies; however, Sony has reportedly refused to allow their characters to appear in any Marvel TV show. This is why we've never seen Spider-Man appear in Daredevil: Born Again or any other MCU-set Disney+ original show.
With The Punisher's next appearance being in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it would have made the most sense for the post-credits scene to set up The Punisher's return in the film. However, Marvel couldn't really do so in a way that would have featured any of Sony's characters, and it's also unlikely that Sony would have even allowed them to use a post-credit scene to tie into the film regardless of whether it featured characters from the Sony Spider-Man universe. This is likely why there was no post-credits scene in The Punisher: One Last Kill and Marvel opted to just end the special with the final scene.
