The season 1 finale of Fallout dropped a bomb on viewers (pun intended). Lucy MacLean (played by Ella Purnell) learned that the same people who created the bunkers are the same ones who dropped the first bomb that put the world into chaos. Viewers also find out that Lucy’s father, Overseer Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan), was frozen and reanimated centuries later.

Having never played the Fallout games, I didn’t have any expectations going into season 1. However, fans of the franchise seem to enjoy it as well. The immense success that it experienced is why the show was renewed for a second season (and we can honestly see it coming back for a third since it has been so successful and Prime Video shows tend to generate a lot of buzz throughout their whole runs).

Storylines to watch

There are three main plots to pay attention to in season 2 of Fallout. First, there’s Lucy and the Ghoul. In the trailer, they’re seen traveling together. Like season 1, their interactions will be fun. But, unlike the first season, Lucy is more versed in things outside of the bunker and will have more to say about what they do. That being said, she still doesn’t know more than the Ghoul. That's probably why she needs him to track her father down.

When the Ghoul asks Lucy what she’ll do when he catches Hank MacLean, she says she will bring him to justice. Considering the state of the world, is there such a thing anymore? Maybe that’s why the Ghoul smiled when he said that. He knows there’s no such thing as justice. But the Ghoul has a mission of his own. He’s looking for his family.

While those two are on their individual missions, Maximus is now praised within the Brotherhood of Steel for killing Lee Moldaver. What the Brotherhood doesn't know is that Maximus wasn't the one who killed her. Someone will find out about this, and it won’t end well for him.

Lastly, there’s all of the chaos in the bunkers with the lies being told by the Council of Citizens. Will they continue to live in joyous ignorance, or will Norm (Lucy's brother) start a revolution? If the latter happens, the next question will be Vault Dwellers leave or try a new life where they are? Or does the Council of Citizens have him killed, leading to Lucy coming for revenge?
