Many of the heroes and villains of the DC Comics universe got power upgrades and received visions after the fight to become King Omega in DC K.O. Among those characters was Green Lantern Guy Gardner, who started seeing the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum entities as babies. As wild as that statement is, it gets better. Because no one can see the entities that are linked to Guy, many of the other Lanterns throughout the spectrum started worshiping him and named him the Allsight. The visual is funnier when you see that Guy is wearing a preacher robe and saying things like, “Yes, my son.”
Despite how he was talking around his followers and the church garb, Guy didn’t let this go to his head and took the job more seriously than anyone would have thought. The one thing that many comic book fans may have expected was the insecurity of being this important. Thankfully, after a visit from his future self in Green Lantern Corps No. 17, Guy got over some of his self-doubt. Now he’s become even more powerful than anyone could have thought.

At the end of issue No. 18, the Manhunters had Green Lantern Aya and were prepared to kill her. The only way they’d let her live is if Jessica Cruz gave them the Emotional Spectrum entities. As they were finishing their threat, Guy unleashed a colorful blast of the entire Emotional Spectrum and started to glow brighter than ever. That was only part of the surprise. The next page reveals that the avatars of the universe’s emotions were no longer babies. They returned to their adult forms and were ready to purge the universe of the Manhunters who tried to capture them.
At first, I thought that Guy was unleashing the power of the White Lantern. That idea is quickly debunked when Jessica points out that Guy’s robe is chrome. And the closer you look, you realize that it’s also shimmering with every color of the Emotional Spectrum. And as if this couldn’t get any cooler, Guy later connects his ring to Jessica’s, and she becomes a shining “Chrome Lantern” like Guy. So now it looks like Guy “Allsight” Gardner can upgrade his teammates.
While Ayo worked on code inside the Manhunters, the new “Chrome” Lanterns and others destroyed them on the physical plane. After that, it didn’t take long for the villains to be destroyed. So much so that Guy said they were just getting to the fun part.
Days later, the new Emotional Well needed to be christened by the Allsight. Rather than make it about himself, Guy Gardner addressed the crowd filled with every Lantern across the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum and ended his short speech with an oath he created. “I master one and temper others, yet all emotion forever hovers. Inside my soul’s eternal reflection, you’ll witness my power, Emotional Spectrum.”
