At the end of the previous episode of House of the Dragon season 3, viewers were shown something will heighten the upcoming war in the realms. After torturing and eventually having someone involved in the deaths of the Gold Cloaks, Daemon Targaryen walks in to see more of them at a table, dead. Behind them was the sentence, “A feast for traitors.” Unfortunately, rather than sign his own work, Lord Ormund Hightower blamed Prince Daeron Targaryen for the murders.

More importantly, Aemond Targaryen is slowly returning to his former glory and health. What should frighten fans who haven’t read the Game of Thrones books is that Alys Rivers is with him. She’s a witch who has a vendetta against Daemon, who, she feels, betrayed him. It’s easy to guess that, together, they will find a way to hurt Daemon in ways no one thought imaginable. And not just him; Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen is in danger as well.

What to expect in the next episode of House of the Dragon season 3

After a lot of dialogue-heavy and sometimes slower episodes of House of the Dragon season 3, viewers could be looking at something intense. In the preview above, it's clear that the upcoming episode will be full of both action and drama. But the most important part of the trailer shows that Rhaenyra will be forced to prove her worth as queen.

So far, Rhaenyra Targaryen hasn’t shown that she’s the best person to rule. In her defence, her reign is just beginning, and she was left with a mess and no gold to fix things. Her upcoming conflict with the likes of Aemond and Lord Ormund Hightower will determine how she’s looked at going forward. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to see how she’s perceived in future episodes.
