House of the Dragon season 3 episode 7 release time (by time zone), preview, and what to expect

The penultimate episode of House of the Dragon season 3 should be the lead-up to the most explosive episode of the series. Here’s how you can watch worldwide to see if that’s the case.

The previous episode of House of the Dragon started off with a battle that should have been lost by Ser Criston Cole and his men, but they unexpectedly won. Sadly for them, it was a short-lived victory. Roderick Dustin and his massive army appear and tell Cole’s remaining few that their time on this Earth is at an end. Ser Criston Cole attempts to find a way for his men to survive, but it was for naught. Cole is killed by Alysanne Blackwood. After that, his army is slaughtered.

Admittedly, I haven’t been completely sold on this season of House of the Dragon. That being said, this was an incredible episode of television; not because of the action (though it was good). For the first time since episode 2, it seems like the show is moving towards something. And not a moment too soon, since the penultimate episode is up next.

What to expect in the next episode of House of the Dragon season 3

At the end of the previous episode of House of the Dragon season 3, Alicent Hightower told Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen that she knows where Aemond Targaryen is. This was supposed to assure than she and her daughter, Helaena, would go free. Unfortunately, Rhaenyra told Alicent that she will have to attempt to kill Aemond to earn their freedom. In the trailer above, you can see that she does as she’s asked. Before anything can happen, Alys Rivers warns Aemond that his mother is there to do her harm.

This is an unexpected dynamic that is sure to produce some interesting results, especially as Alys seemingly convinced Aemond to stay with her in the previous episode. With just two episodes to go, which member of this unlikely trio will come out on top?

Another noteworthy part of the trailer is Rhaenyra attempting to force Helaena to tell her what she knows. Now that Rhaenyra is aware that her half-sister has visions, she’ll want to know her future. If you know the source material, then you're aware that Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen probably won’t be happy with what she’s told.
