The foruth season of Prime Video's Invincible showed us all that each Viltrumite is scary in their own way. Viewers also learned that some are more intimidating than others for various reasons. Now, if you’ve read the source material - the Invincible comics by Robert Kirkman - you'll know that some of their power levels have been adjusted for the TV adaptation. And that always makes it fun to compare and contrast the Prime Video portrayals of these characters with their original comic book versions.

Now that fans have seen the majority of the most important Viltrumites, let's dive into the Top 10 most menacing in the comics to get to know some of them even better. And with that, let's start with someone who hasn't reached their full potential.

WARNING! SPOILERS FOR FUTURE EPISODES OF INVINCIBLE.

10. Mark Grayson / Invincible

As much as many of us like Invincible, we can be honest: Mark Grayson is not one of the most intimidating characters in this story. That goes for both the show and the comics. Sure, he has his moments - moments which really highlight how formidable he can be - but not enough to put fear into the hearts of his fellow Vitrumites.

Mark may scare Cecil enough to have a contingency plan against him, but he's simply not as terrifying or unstoppable as the other Viltrumites we meet in the series. And yes, part of that is the fact that he's a hero on the side of good, so he doesn't have to go to those dark places too often,

All that being said, at the end of the Invincible series, he becomes the greatest Viltrumite of all time.

9. Lucan

Lucan flies under the radar in the Invincible story until you remember what he did in his fight on Planet Thraxa. While holding his guts in his uniform, Lucan delivered a blow that took out Omni-Man. And he’s also one of the Viltrumites who survives the Scourge Virus, the Vitrumite War, and the final battle against Thragg and his kids.

Never count Lucan out! That would be a mistake!

8. Thula

Thula is special because she doesn’t seem to be as strong as the other Viltrumites, but she makes up for it with her ruthlessness, speed, and her bladed braid. The latter of which has spilled more blood than many of her peers.

She also has this look of, “You don’t want any problems with me,” whenever she fights.  Actually, she has that vibe in general. Don't cross her!

7. Kregg

Kregg may not be as good a fighter as the rest, but he has something that the rest of them don’t, and that’s dedication to the cause. Believers are always dangerous because they'll do anything that helps the cause. In this case, the Viltrumite Empire.

It doesn’t hurt that he isThragg’s second in command and seems to have his unwavering trust. Yeah, Kregg is not tbe taken lightly.

6. Mohawk Invincible

This version of Invincible is the supreme ruler of Earth and has the full backing of the Viltrum Empire. Even Conquest and Kregg bow down to him. What’s even more impressive is that Thragg sends his rebels to his Earth.

The damage he did to Earth during the Invincible War can't be overlooked. Neither can the fact that he survived the wasteland Angstrom Levy sent him and the other Marks, too. Speaking of those Marks…

5. Cannibal Mark / CapeVincible

After the Invincible War, each of the surviving variants Angstrom Levy recruited was sent to an alternate dimension, and only two of them survived. It was Invincible with a mohawk (who we just spoke about) and the one with the cape.

Mohawk Mark was scared of his counterpart because he was stronger, faster, and hungrier than the others. Plus, CapeVincible started enjoying eating his vilrumite peers.

4. Anissa

Anissa is stronger and faster than most of the remaining Viltrumites and has a nearly unmatched temper. She also doesn’t take no for an answer, which leads to her becoming a monster when she’s denied something.

Fans of the comic book series know that this isn’t just about when she met Mark for the first time, either. She did something unspeakable that made her one of the most terrifying people in all of comics.

3. Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man

The version of Omni-Man that we see in the Invincible series is scary. However, the character is much more terrifying in the comics. He defeated the Guardians of the Globe without breaking a sweat, can fight multiple superpowered beings at a time, and is a legend throughout the Vitrume Empire. And let’s not forget the destruction he caused on Earth when he fought Mark.

Nolan is not one to be trifled with - in either version of the Invincible story.

2. Conquest

Conquest scares almost everyone because he’s barbaric. He doesn’t care about anything or anyone. He enjoys fighting, making others bleed, and laughing through the pain he inflicts and is inflicted on him. This is further proven in an issue of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast, where Conquest is seen eating the hearts of beings he just slaughtered. Even Kregg is disgusted by the sight.

The only person that Conquest respects - and fears - is the person who’s at the number one spot.

1. Thragg

During the Viltrumite War, Mark asked his father how they can beat Thragg. He simply said, “We can’t.” Nolan, who knows how to fight and survive with the best of them, was scared. He knew that he and his son had no chance against him. Mind you, they just helped destroy a planet.

As previously mentioned, Conquest bows to the might of Thragg. There's no one else in the universe that Conquest will do that to. There was even terror in his eyes after admitting his failure. Anyone who can do that to that monster is definitely at the top of the list.
