The series premiere of Lanterns kicked off the murder mystery that leads John Stewart and Hal Jordan to think that there are aliens on Earth - and that they’re both killing and being killed. Then, just as Hal learns the truth, an alien detonates a bomb with an explosion big enough to destroy the entire town. Luckily, the Green Lantern Ring had enough power to protect everyone.
Then, the episode jumped forward 10 years into the future and featured one of the saddest scenes I’ve ever seen in a DC Comics show: Hal Jordan is dead and frozen on the football bleachers where he and John had their first case. And, if you blinked, you may have missed a single tear rolling down John’s face.

Lanterns season 1, episode 2 release time
Lanterns season 1 episode 2, titled “Trust Fall”, is set to premiere in the US on Sunday, August 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 8:00 p.m. CT, and 7:00 p.m. MT. Like the previous episode, it will air on HBO at the top of that hour in each respective time zone, while also being available to stream on HBO Max.
Of course, HBO Max is a worldwide streaming platform. So in all locations where the service is available, DC fans will be able to watch. With that in mind, here are all of the times you can watch Lanterns episode 2 in your region, including in areas such as the UK, India, and Australia:

What to expect in the next episode of Lanterns
Viewers should pay attention to everything that happens in Lanterns. No matter how inconsequential you may think it is, it will play into the mystery of Hal and the aliens’ deaths, and the Manhunters (who were announced in one of the trailers). And we'd also be foolish to think that they're the only ones connected to the murders.
Lastly, this writer hopes to see more of the Green Lantern Corps and the lore. For example, Abin Sur giving Hal the Green Lantern Ring was mentioned in the season premiere, but not seen. It would be cool to see the actual moment to find out if Hal was truly without fear when he saw his first alien.
If you’re a comic book fan or just love good TV, there’s no way you watched the series premiere of Lanterns and didn’t fall in love. The show provided a dark tone that wasn’t seen in fellow DC Universe projects like Superman and Supergirl, but it’s something HBO viewers are used to thanks to The Penguin, Game of Thrones, and True Detective.
