It is definitely no secret that there has been a significant drought of Batman video games over the last decade. While the Caped Crusader had a major role in the controversial Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, he was not a playable character, and you also had to kill him as part of the main story. Aside from Rocksteady's latest title, Batman: Arkham Shadow is the most recent game starring Bruce Wayne, though it was exclusive to Meta Quest VR headsets, meaning that not everyone had the chance to play it.

We'd need to go all the way back to 2015 to find a game starring DC's iconic hero released on multiple platforms. Fortunately, not everything is grim, as fans will soon get what they've been wishing for since the release of Batman: Arkham Knight. At long last, a new video game will shine the spotlight on the world's greatest detective.

It's nearly time to step into the dark, twisted, violent, and blocky streets of Gotham City courtesy of the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This version of the game will give players 72 hours of early access, so if you don't want to wait for the game's official release on May 22, this is the way to go. Better yet, the wait is almost over, so here is when the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is set to be released by time zones.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition release date and exact time on PlayStation 5

Like most big releases on the PlayStation Store, the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released at 12:00 a.m. EST on May 19, 2026, in the US. That means some US territories will get to play it a bit earlier than its intended May 19 early release due to time zone differences.

It's important to remember that there isn't just a single global release embargo, as international countries will be able to play the game at midnight of their respective time zones. To make things a little less convoluted, here are all of the release times for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on the PlayStation Store:

Additionally, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has a confirmed download size of 30.192 GB on the PS Store. Unfortunately, there isn't a PlayStation 4 version of the game, so it's good to keep that in mind if you were planning to play the Caped Crusader's upcoming adventure on the previous generation of consoles.

Things will be a little different for PC, however, so read on to find out the exact release times for the Deluxe Edition of the game on that platform.

Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait longer for the game's release

While the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on May 19 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, things will be a little different on Nintendo's current-gen console. The game's official FAQ mentions that the release timing for Switch 2 will "be announced at a later date." So, for the time being, we don't have any confirmation on when we'll be able to play Batman's upcoming adventure on the go.

Games ported to the Switch 2 usually require more optimization due to the console's weaker hardware specifications compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. So, it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume that's why the Nintendo version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming at a later date. However, it's certainly better to wait a little longer than to play a broken version of the title.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight PC specs

This is where things get tricky. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to both Steam and the Epic Games Store. However, you'll need a bit of a monster PC if you want to play TT Games' upcoming title, as revealed by the system requirements specifications:

24 GB of RAM and a graphics card that costs over 500 USD to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight in 4K with upscaling seems a bit excessive. Furthermore, the minimum specifications target 30 fps with frame gen enabled, which is far from ideal. With those requirements, it comes as no surprise that the development team needs more time to optimize the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game.

Most video games built on Unreal Engine 5 are infamous for being heavily unoptimized, so it's unfortunate to learn that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight isn't the exception. Hopefully, TT Games will keep working on their PC port post-launch and achieve better framerates and graphics using fewer resources.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition release date and exact time on PC

While the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on a midnight basis on the PlayStation Store in every country, things will be different on other systems. Case in point, TT Games' upcoming adventure will be released at 10 a.m. PT globally for PC users.

With that in mind, here are the release times of the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on PC:

  • Hawaii: 7:00 a.m. HST on Tuesday, May 19
  • Alaska: 9:00 a.m. AKDT on Tuesday, May 19
  • West Coast of the US: 10:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday, May 19
  • Mountain Time: 11:00 a.m. MT on Tuesday, May 19
  • Midwest of the US: 12:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, May 19
  • East Coast of the US: 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 19

  • France: 7:00 p.m. CET on Tuesday, May 19
  • Germany: 7:00 p.m. CET on Tuesday, May 19
