Fans who are eager to play Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be pleased to know that the upcoming game will be showcased at this month’s San Diego Comic-Con with a panel called MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Deep Dive – A Nostalgia Driven Approach to your Favorite Characters.

The panel will be hosted by Tim Gettys from the Kinda Funny podcast, and key staff members working on the game, including director Frédéric Gemus, producer Rémi Lavoie, technical director Jean-François Major, Brian Marquez from Marvel Games, This news was confirmed by the game’s publisher, Dotemu, and the developer, Tribute Games.

The game’s Comic-Con panel will take place at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday, July 24, in Room 6BCF at 4:35pm, and fans will certainly not want to miss it. Especially since it looks like this could be one of the unique Marvel video games of the year, and it also looks like it will be an absolute ton of fun to play. Therefore, anyone who plans to attend SDCC this year should certainly make an effort to attend the game’s panel.

This comes after the announcement that Marvel Studios would not be hosting its annual Hall H panel this year as it places the focus on preparing to bring an Avengers-level panel to the event next year. So, at the very least, Marvel fans can look forward to some Marvel content from SDCC on the video game front.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is an upcoming beat ‘em game featuring stylized pixel art graphics and a large roster of playable characters from Marvel’s vast library. The plot of the game will concern the heroes of the Marvel Universe trying to stop the villain known as Annihilus from carrying out his diabolical schemes, and some of the confirmed playable characters will include Spider-Man, Captain America, Storm, She-Hulk, Wolverine, Nova, and Rocket Raccoon. On the other hand, some of the villains which players will encounter will include Thanos and Sauron, with more no doubt being confirmed soon. And because it is a Marvel game, Marvel Cosmic Invasion will obviously have stages set in New York City, with the Negative Zone also being confirmed as a playable stage. And the game will support local and online multiplayer, with single-player options also being available.

Dotemu and Tribute Games previously collaborated on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which received positive reviews, so expectations are clearly high for Marvel Cosmic Invasion. The game will be available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch towards the end of this year, and fans will no doubt be eagerly awaiting the announcements which come from the Comic-Con panel.
