Jeff the Land Shark is unquestionably one of Marvel’s strangest characters to date. The amicable fish with legs has become a cult favorite among fans, to the point where he has even been given several of his own titles from Marvel. He was originally created by the villainous scientist known as M.O.D.O.K., before being rescued and joining the West Coast Avengers in addition to helping heroes such as Deadpool and Gweenpool. And he also showed up in Marvel Rivals, where he proved to be hugely popular among players.

In his latest limited series, which is titled Jeff the Land Shark, Jeff attempts to take down a malicious demonic being who was accidentally brought into existence in Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, who subsequently impersonates the real Jeff and frames him for committing crimes across the Multiverse. It sounds like our favorite shark will have his work cut out for him as he attempts to take down this new foe, who comes to be known as Shadow Jeff.

Monkeys Fighting Robots exclusively revealed a preview of the second issue of the comic. The preview presents the first four pages of the book, so fans can get a taste of what to expect. Throughout the preview, we see Jeff entering the space station known as Knowhere and interacting with Rocket Racoon and Groot, which leads to some very humorous banter between the three mismatched heroes. This is clearly a very light-hearted comic, and the preview perfectly captures the whimsical tone of the book. And the preview ends with Rocket presenting Jeff with a universal translator, which means that Jeff might finally get to communicate fluently with his companions. You can also see that the bright and vibrant artwork clearly complements the fun and playful tone of the comic.

However, this issue will also deal with the arrival of Shadow Jeff, so it's no doubt going to be a big one for the iconic Land Shark and his friends

This current series of Jeff the Land Shark is written by Jeff co-creator Kelly Thompson and illustrated by Tokitokoro. The second issue arrives in stores on July 23, so we do not have long to wait until we learn if Rocket’s translation device really does finally give Jeff the power of speech. And this series will certainly keep fans satisfied as they eagerly await Jeff’s inevitable arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
