Vision was created by a murderous artificial intelligence, killed by a Mad Titan, brought back to life by a powerful witch, and died once more after transferring his memories to another body. But despite all the hurdles he has endured so far, his biggest challenge still lies ahead. The iconic android now has the complicated task of figuring out his identity and reconnecting with the memories of who he once was.
The wicked tale that began with the Scarlet Witch creating two kids with her magic in WandaVision was continued in Agatha All Along and is now set to culminate in VisionQuest. The trilogy capper will feature the debut of big Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes such as Ruaridh Mollica's Speed while also marking the return of iconic villains like James Spader's Ultron. Additionally, we're about to see more of the many A.I.s that have supported heroes like Iron Man throughout the years.
VisionQuest's release is just around the corner, so it was only a matter of time before the upcoming Disney+ show got to steal the spotlight. Fortunately, that day finally came during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23. So it's time to put on our capes and rock our Mind Stones as we break down everything revealed about VisionQuest during Disney's latest event.
The first VisionQuest trailer is finally here
Down the Vision's road we go. Marvel has finally released the first trailer for VisionQuest, and it's clear audiences are in for a mind-bending adventure set to feature no shortage of characters that have been part of the MCU's history.
One of the main plot points of WandaVision was the creation of the Hex—a shifting place where reality works differently than usual. Well, it seems VisionQuest is bound to repeat history, as audiences will be introduced to a White Mansion where androids and Artificial Intelligences have human forms. These sequences will take place inside Vision's mind, where he tries to reconnect with the memories of his predecessor.
The VisionQuest trailer also gives us a new look at James Spader's Ultron, who will make his first MCU appearance since the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron back in 2015. However, the iconic Marvel villain won't be alone, as multiple A.I.s are about to take over the small screen as well. Remember Tony Stark's hydraulic arm robots D.U.M.-E and U? Well, they are back in action, and their human forms are portrayed by Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, respectively.

Speaking of MCU returns, James D'Arcy will reprise his role as the human version of Jarvis in VisionQuest. His character had a prominent role in Agent Carter, and he'll now help Vision on his quest to find out who he really is. F.R.I.D.A.Y. was instrumental in helping Iron Man on multiple occasions and even Peter Parker during the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and now she'll jump back into action once again, portrayed by Orla Brady. Additionally, Emily Hampshire will bring E.D.I.T.H. to life in the upcoming Disney+ show.
Agatha All Along culminated with Wiccan embarking on a journey to find his brother, Speed. But while Billy Maximoff is still on the search, audiences are already one step ahead. The VisionQuest trailer gives us our first look at Tommy Maximoff, who has reunited with his father and appears in multiple sections of the trailer. Unfortunately, we never see him suit up, but it's just a matter of time before he uses his superpowers.
Since VisionQuest is the last live-action MCU project to be released before Avengers: Doomsday, it will be interesting to see whether there's a connection between the two projects. But for the time being, it seems audiences are in for a very personal adventure that will be all about Vision rediscovering his past, and we can't wait to see how it all plays out.
