It's all been building up to this. The Man Without Fear makes a full-time return to TV screens in 2025, seven years after the cancellation of the beloved Daredevil Netflix series. Charlie Cox is back as Matt Murdock himself, as is Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, as both Daredevil and the Kingpin have taken up residence in Marvel Studios' juggernaut, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Both ironically made their MCU debuts within a week of each other, but in completely different titles. Cox had a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, while D'Onofrio's Kingpin was revealed to be the secret big bad of Disney Plus series Hawkeye. They have since returned in other titles, with Daredevil resurfacing in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Echo, and Fisk playing an integral part in the latter as one of its main characters. They have yet to actually cross paths in the MCU (although they came pretty close in Echo) but they will in upcoming sequel series Daredevil: Born Again.

One of the most anticipated outings of 2025 (and certainly Marvel TV's most anticipated offering), Born Again promises to return us to the gritty world of Daredevil from the classic Netflix shows. And now, Marvel have unveiled the first official stills for it, giving us a glimpse of what to expect.

Charlie Cox's hero returns in first official Daredevil: Born Again stills

Marvel has officially unveiled the first stills for Daredevil: Born Again. The photos were released as part of a batch of stills for the studio's upcoming Disney Plus slate, featuring first looks at live-action shows Wonder Man, Ironheart, and Daredevil: Born Again as well as animated projects Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies, and Eyes of Wakanda.

For Born Again, there were two stills released. The first of them is what appears to be a screen capture from the series, featuring our first up-close look at Charlie Cox back in action in the updated MCU version of the iconic Daredevil suit. It's really a sight to behold and, from both that that and the coloring/lighting in the still, it's clear that we're in for an incredibly aesthetically-pleasing experience that matches the tone of both the Daredevil comics and the Netflix series.

Cox has, of course, donned multiple suits throughout his time as Daredevil (both in the original series and his multiple MCU appearances). When the Daredevil persona made its debut in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, he wore the yellow and red suit, which made for quite the change. It looked great and allowed Marvel Studios to put their own stamp on the character that also matched the more light-hearted tone of She-Hulk. But when he returned in darker series Echo, he was back to his traditional red-and-black - which will be at the forefront of his own upcoming series.

The other still that Marvel released features Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk meeting up over a coffee in what is sure to be a delightful reunion. It's the pair's first time crossing paths in the MCU, but now that we know the Netflix series is canon to the franchise, their history together will no doubt hang over this meeting. There is no love loss between the two bitter enemies, but with a potentially greater threat on the horizon, will they find common ground? Stranger things have happened in the MCU.

These stills come after a brief Disney Plus teaser video which offered up a few seconds of footage from the show as it teased all of the upcoming Marvel titles to come in 2025. Much like they will with these photos, fans were quick to consume it as their excitement and anticipation for the show continues to increase.

After seven years of campaigning for more Daredevil, fans will finally have their hopes answered with a brand new series. And even though the Netflix show is technically canon to the events of the MCU now, there will be something truly awe-inspiring about seeing both Daredevil himself and Wilson Fisk cross paths and interact in the MCU in the present-day.

Is it 2025 yet?!

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney Plus on March 4, 2025.
