New York Comic-Con is finally here, and it has been home to groundbreaking reveals from multiple IPs and franchises. Naturally, DC was bound to take center stage as well. The iconic comic-book company is home to some of the world's most popular heroes, including The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Superman. However, few characters are as beloved as the Caped Crusader himself, Batman.
The World's Greatest Detective has starred in countless comic book issues, TV shows, movies, and video games throughout the years. But among the many stories set in the twisted and violent streets of Gotham, one stands out from the rest: Batman: Hush. This crime thriller pits the Dark Knight against many of his fiercest enemies, who act in very strange ways. By the end, it is revealed that the villains were all mere pawns on the board of Thomas Elliot, better known as the serial killer Hush. Now, DC and Mattel have joined forces to immortalize this legendary comic-book storyline in the form of a new Diorama Set that's ideal for Batman fans.

Mattel and DC unveil a new Batman: Hush Diorama Set
2026 marks the start of a new multi-year licensing agreement between DC and Mattel, and their collaboration is starting with a bang. During NYCC 2026, the two companies unveiled the DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set, which features many different elements.
For starters, the set includes a 6.5-inch-tall Batman figure with 34 points of articulation and two sets of interchangeable hands. DC's hero also has an oversized wired cape inspired by the iconic Batman: Hush comic book storyline. Additionally, the black Bat-Symbol on the chest stands out against the yellow utility belt and the recognizable blue Batsuit.

But in order to fully bring the Batman: Hush cover to life, more props were needed, and that's where the Diorama Set comes in. The Gotham City rooftop base is 8.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep, and it includes a removable gargoyle on which Batman can stand tall and watch over the city. Furthermore, there is a water tower on which real water can be placed to activate a fog effect that perfectly captures Gotham's dark atmosphere.
There is also a fully functioning Bat-Signal that projects Batman's iconic emblem onto nearby surfaces. Moreover, the Diorama Set packaging also doubles as a display backdrop, allowing the rest of Gotham City's skyline to be seen right behind the Dark Knight.

"The beloved Batman: Hush story arc, written by Jeph Loeb with art by Jim Lee, riveted fans of the Dark Knight™ for twelve issues of the Batman comic in 2002 and 2003. Now you can have a piece of it in your collection with the DC Premium Batman™: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal™ Diorama Set. Pose the Caped Crusader™ in atmospheric mist emitted from a gritty Gotham City™ rooftop with the push of a button. Then use the movable Bat-Signal™ to project a bat on the surface of your choice. With a perch this premium, crime doesn't stand a chance."
This is just the start of the new collaboration between DC and Mattel. On Jan. 1, 2027, Mattel will host a live-stream event that will reveal the full Spring 2027 DC Action Figures collection. In the meantime, fans can already pre-order the DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set for $100 on Mattel Creations.
