The previous episode of Apple TV’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was, as WWE superstar Jacob Fatu says, all gas and no breaks. Even when things seemed calm, it was only building to something intense happening. For example, soon after the conversation Cate had with her father (Hiroshi Randa), one of Titan X’s “babies” killed someone on the ship.
The second episode did a good job of showing Keiko and Lee’s experience with Titan X and its worshipers in the past, but also kept things interesting in the present. The show would switch from Lee and Keiko at a festival that almost leads to their death, to the present, where Lee is guiding Titan X away from the Monarch ship. It’s a delicate balance that could become annoying on another show. Thankfully, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has been doing it long enough - and well enough - that it remains entertaining.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 3, titled "Secrets", is expected to premiere in the US on Thursday, March 12, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 7:00 p.m. MT, and 8:00 p.m. CT. Unfortunately, Apple TV, like Prime Video, is like Hollow Earth, where the release schedule isn't always fixed, so even though the episodes are advertised for premiering on Fridays, they often drop early the night before.
In terms of how that will relate to the worldwide release, it's worth bearing in mind that the US recently observed Daylight Savings Time, so the countries that haven't changed their clocks yet (or at all) can likely expect the episodes an hour earlier. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 3 release date and exact time
It wasn’t by accident that Keiko and her granddaughter Cate could feel Titan X’s vibrations before the others could. It happened to Keiko in the past, and now her daughter is having the same reaction in 2017. This will come into play at some point in the season when it’s time to track and defeat Titan X. However, in episode 3, I expect Keiko and Cate to discuss that they could feel the vibrations when no one else could.
Viewers know Keiko and Lee survive the encounter with Titan X and her babies because they’re seen in 2017. The question we need to know is how. Then, even after avoiding death by kaiju, the town of Santa Soledad doesn’t want their secret exposed. That means Keiko and Lee have to get away from them, too.
