The previous episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters opens perfectly with Bill Randa continuing his search for monsters. After finding the note his wife (Dr. Keiko Miura) left Lee Shaw confessing her love for him, it’s understandable that Bill would drown himself in his work. Sadly, his actions left his son (Hiroshi) abandoned without explanation.
Later in the episode (and in 2015), Lee Shaw, Dr. Keiko Miura, Hiroshi Randa, May, and Kentaro attempt to get Hiroshi’s device from Apex Cybernetics to lure Titan X away from populated areas. While at Apex, the group sees that the company has smuggled monsters off Skull Island.
This makes sense since Apex representative Jason Trissop said that the company’s goal is to find a way to live with the titans. This is further confirmed when Brenda Holland shows May that they’re working on a device to remove the Titans’ aggressive impulses. In short, these people are more monstrous than the Titans they're trying to control.
Lastly, at the end of the episode, Lee Shaw, Dr. Keiko Miura, Hiroshi Randa, and Kentaro find the map Bill Randa made of the Titan’s migratory route. It was one of his last missions, and he finished it. This information could help save lives, but it was locked away in an Apex basement. Apex knew where Titan X was heading, and they said nothing. Thankfully, our heroes know where it's headed next.
We don't know what happens next, but it’s easy to guess that viewers will learn more about Apex’s plan for the Titans in episode 5. Here’s when you can watch, depending on your timezone.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 5 release date and time
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 5, titled "Furusato," is expected to premiere in the US on Thursday, March 26, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 7:00 p.m. MT, and 8:00 p.m. CT. That being said, Apple TV, like Prime Video, is like Hollow Earth, so it often releases new episodes the night before its billed Friday release dates.

What to expect in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters episode 5
At the end of the previous Monarch: Legacy of Monsters episode, May says that she’s staying with Brenda Holland and Apex. She believes that she can do some good there and needs to try to make a difference her way. Sadly, it’s unclear if that’s possible since some of the people at Apex seem to be out for themselves. However, I’m not prepared to put Brenda Holland in the category of monster just yet.
The most important thing to look forward to is the heroes making their way to Santa Soledad. It’s where Lee and Dr. Miura first encountered Titan X, and it’s where they try to see it again. And, in the trailer above, Cate comes face-to-face with Titan X, but it’s unclear if she’s having a vision or if this is actually happening.
